Day 67
I made doughnuts (and doughnut holes). It was so much easier than I expected! And lemme tell you- fresh doughnuts are heavenly.
Stop drooling and make some.

Ice cream in January. Ah, FL. We found a cool little shop near the library, that does ice cream the old school way- made right there, no weird preservatives, amazing flavors. I went with Chocolate Peanut Butter, my son went plain old Vanilla (he didn’t get that from ME!) and my husband made me jealous with his German Chocolate. Seriously good stuff- I can’t make it look as good as it tasted.
We’ll have to go to the library more. For the ice cream- AND so we don’t incur another $25 in late fines. Oops.
… I can always make her smile so easily. The sweetest little girl ever. And look at that- she’s downright chubby! She was such a skinny little thing her first few weeks on Earth- so loving my roly-poly baby!

It’s going to be so great for them both! Gabe is coming around- mild indifference, a little jealousy (“Daddy- take baby!” with an angry hand motion when he wants to sit on my lap and Gwen is occupying it), but, sweetness, too. He kisses her and hugs her without any direction from us- and he’s held her twice, his own idea. She’s so lucky to have such a cool guy to look out for her- and he’s so lucky that she likely won’t ever be bigger than he is.
Shell shocked:

But, happy:

Sweet half smile and some silly faces, from the one that’s turned it all upside down for him.
