Day 92

The squishy hat- love it! I’m going to add an i-cord flower, and call it done! Just in time for her 6m birthday in 2 days.

Half a year

Six months old! Only six months to go before our baby isn’t a baby anymore- slooooow down!!!

Day 47

Gwen’s eyes are changing. Good-bye to her baby blues- they’re starting to get the same golden glow around her irises. I bet she’ll have the same beautiful brown eyes as her brother.

Poor baby!

She’s been sick twice in a month. So has Gabe! I can’t wait for cold/flu season to be over!!! At least I held it off this time around- yay for my shredded immune system!

Oh, and the bunny hat!

It’s not going to fit at Easter. Guess I have to make another.

Gwen’s Flower Hat

I love this one- it was so easy. I used this pattern, with a few changes (I don’t really remember them well- but, I know I did one less round of height and didn’t increase as much on the brim). The brim is just enough to keep the sun out of her eyes, and the flower comes off easily.

Look how excited she is! Heh.

Hat love.

I’m just going to have to keep working on her.

Thanks to a treefrog…

… we found this long-lost hat, before Gwen had a chance to outgrow it.

Froggy had a death wish, and dared to enter the house of dachsies. During Bob’s attempts to save him, he managed to herd the jumpy thing right under the couch I was nursing Gwen on, and in the half second it took for me to leap away with the baby, the frog had disappeared into the innards of the recliners.

So, the couch got flipped. Inside it- there were a bunch of hairbands, a pacifier, two sets of circ needles, this lost little hat, and- the frog (he made it outside alive- go BOB)!

Apparently, our new couches were hungry!

The Rainbow Hat

I made this one SO long ago- before I knew if Gwen was Gwen or Ben! It’s so incredibly colorful. I’ll have to make another hat with the leftover yarn, something for a few months down the road.

The flower hat…

… like most hats, is much cuter on a cute head.

And she’s a cute sleepyhead sans hat, too!
