This is one of the daisies Gabe helped me pot up for the porch this summer. It had a sad bloom when we bought it, and absolutely nothing since. Until this guy (and two BUDdies- har-har) popped up this past week. It sure is a fancy daisy!

I love how downright hairy plants look when you get good and close.

Finally got around to potting up some daisies! It feels like spring. A warmer than usual spring- but, spring.

“Oooh, smells so pretty, mom!”
Heheh. No it doesn’t- it’s a scentless weed. But, he’s awfully cute.

Weeds. The only thing that’s still growing. At least this one is a tiny bit pretty. Come soon, spring.

Fake flowers for headbands.
I hate fake flowers. These are little- about the size of a silver dollar. No bigger-than-my-baby’s-head-flourescent-hued-daisies here.
They still make me feel a little dirty, though. :-p

The thing is, I’m not as impressed by the bee or the weed in this picture, as I am by the freaking amazing bokeh my new macro lens gives me! I love it. So so so much. Get a Tamron 90mm Macro- you won’t regret it.
Unless you don’t have a camera body to go with it. That would suck.

These were shot the day it came.

And a quick snapshot of the kid while we were chasing down bugs to photograph in the yard:
