I love this yarn. Almost too much to actually do anything with it. I had a shipment come in today, pink and green for a hat I want to make for Gwen’s 6m pictures. This one will likely be a hat, too- I just have to find the perfect pattern to show off all the colors!

This was an evolution of sorts. I started with the bloomers, and they came together nicely enough. But, I never made the dress that I planned to go with the bloomers, and well, they were so un-ruffled. So, I decided to try ruffling them. So, they are ruffled. And very, very bright. Not as cute as I pictured they’d be, but, cute, nonetheless, and the next pair will be better (I learned a lot on these).

The painted egg Easter tradition. Gabe’s 2010 edition- he does not make a boring egg.

One of the outfits I’m planning for Gwen’s 6m pics- a closer look at the way the DIY ruffly faux-babylegs look at the feet end.

The colorful tops of the towers Gabe and I built. He really just wants the tunnels underneath- they’re great for driving toy cars through.

JumpĀ Jump Jump- Gwen’s jumperoo arrived today. She can bounce- and we can now eat a meal in peace. Usually.

Look at all my FOE! You don’t know what FOE is? It’s fold-over-elastic- a really cool sewing notion that makes things like skirts and headbands super easy. And I have lots and lots of colors. Yay!

It’s a warm FL winter again (thank goodness- I am really not built for the cold stuff!) so we spent a little time on the back patio wearing down some sidewalk chalk. My son did a remarkable job at staying pretty clean this time, but, was shocked to discover the bottom of his shoes were covered in colorful chalk dust.

Rainbow ‘playdough’ cookies. Fun to make- just okay to eat. But, the kid loved them.
