Day 88

Gabe was not the drooliest baby. He really never needed a bib except for mealtime (and seriously, we could still use one some days- applesauce comes out easily, thank goodness). Sweet Gwen, though- she’s got some major drool-age happening. Gabe popped his two bottom teeth around this age, so maybe she’s working on some! Until then, we will keep searching for new and different teething toys for her to soak. :)

Day 81

The colorful tops of the towers Gabe and I built. He really just wants the tunnels underneath- they’re great for driving toy cars through.

Day 70

The power went out. The bad weather had long since passed. Unfortunately, not extremely unusual on Progress Energy (and they want rate hikes again- ugh).

But, at least it was a good day for it- as long as we stayed near a window, the breeze kept us comfortable. Gabe and I played with part of his massive collection of Matchbox cars on one side of the room, while Gwen and their dad played on the floor by the sliding glass doors.

Day 63

Gabe has the hugest collection of toy balls. He is such a boy, though- I feel like I’m always yelping “Don’t kick/throw/toss/bounce that in the house!!!”, so we try to limit them to one or two in the room at a time. This one HAS to be the weirdest of them all.

Day 57

Check it out- I… um… I mean, my son… got some new Automoblox in the mail today! Seriously the coolest little toys ever. He just loves these things. And he lets us play with them sometimes, too- one of the perks of being a parent. ! ;)

Day 56

A fun little rattle for baby girl, whipped up from one of my new sewing books, Sweet Booties!: And Blankets, Bonnets, Bibs & More. It has some really cute projects- I can’t WAIT to do the cute ruffled bloomers on the front!

Gwen has a cute little ball with fabric tags that she likes to chew on, but, she isn’t quite up to holding onto to it for long, so I added a few more as a tail to this toy. It should be a little easier for her to grasp.

I love that my sewing machine has opened up so many fun crafts! Yay!

Day 37

JumpĀ  Jump Jump- Gwen’s jumperoo arrived today. She can bounce- and we can now eat a meal in peace. Usually. :)

Day 27

I had a photo of a tent cobweb weaver spider and her tent to use today, but, I just can’t edit photos of spiders in the dark without completely skeeving myself out. I’m a wimp! So, um. Here’s the third tag toy- this one is for little Andy, the cutest little baby nephew ever. It has crinkly stuff sandwiched in the middle of the flannel sides, like Gwen’s first one does- noisy!!

Day 22

It’s a warm FL winter again (thank goodness- I am really not built for the cold stuff!) so we spent a little time on the back patio wearing down some sidewalk chalk. My son did a remarkable job at staying pretty clean this time, but, was shocked to discover the bottom of his shoes were covered in colorful chalk dust. :)

Day 20

Oh my. This sure turned out differently than I’d envisioned. It’s the big scary blue monster blanket sister of my daughter’s tiny cute taggie toy from last week. Minky is the fabric of the devil, pure evil to work with, but, oh… sooo…. soft. And blue, in this case. Or BLUE. Hopefully this won’t be the one thing she attaches to and carts around for years. :)
