I’ve always made fake baby legs the traditional way, with cuffs on the bottom made from the foot of the sock. But, wow. These are even faster- and SO cute! Ruffles! Everyone must know how much I hate ruffles, right?
Target had kneesocks clearanced to $1.25 a pair, and these match a ruffle-butt onesie I’m making perfectly. All you do is clip the leg of the kneesock off at the curve where it attaches to the foot, and zig-zag around the bottom while stetching it a bit. Ruffles! And the nice thing about the DIY baby legs, is that they’re sized for adult women up top, so they don’t leave red marks on a chunky baby thigh like the real ones do.

so jealous of your craftiness! I am totally addicted to babylegs. I think I am up to 10 pairs, at least.
Thanks, Janine- these honestly take no talent or craftiness at all- anyone with a sewing machine could whip them up in no time at all!
I bet monkeys could be trained to do them.
Hmmm. Where can I get a monkey…
